The Palm Fountain in Downtown Dubai turns Green

On the 17th of March 2021, many UAE residence will witness the world’s largest fountain in Dubai turn green, in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. On this special day also known as the Feast of Saint Patrick tourists and residents in the UAE can enjoy tonnes of restaurant discounts all across the emirate city.

St. Patrick’s Day is an Irish Festival celebrated every year on March 17th, on this religious holiday many Irish men and women wear green.

Along with the Palm Fountain turning green in honor of this celebratory day, the tallest building the Burj Khalifa, and the Pointe will also be celebrating this occasion by coloring its appearance green.

About the Palm Fountain

The Palm Fountain in Dubai achieved the world’s largest fountain title in the Guinness World Record last year 2020. The iconic fountain spreads over 14,000 square feet of seawater, shooting water as tall as 105 meters with 3000 LED lights coming alive to various cultural music. The sight is beautiful to watch. For many years the Palm Fountain has celebrated many festivals, national days, and events with its colorful displays of water dances and music.

On the 17th of March, it will brighten up to the color Green to stand by 55 countries across the world celebrating the Irish festival. The performance will begin at 7 pm and last till midnight with the festivities signature track Riverdance by Bill Whelan.
